David Moyes,a center half as a player. He started his career at Celtic and then played most of his career in England's lower leagues making 535 appearances along with scoring 46 goals.
He started taking coaching courses at the age of 22 and became a player-manager of Preston in 1998 which was his first managerial job.

PRESTON NORTH END:

He took over a relegation threatened Preston as a player-manager and helped them avoid relegation the following year he helped Preston reach second division play offs which they lost. Next year he helped Preston win the second division and took the same squad to division one play offs the following season as Preston was cash strapped he then left for Everton in 2002. His win percentage at Preston is 49%.

EVERTON:

This time he again took over a relegation threatened team in everton as guided them to safety in his first season, following season he guided everton to top half of the table. But in early years at Everton the results were inconsistent as everton finished in european spots some seasons and in some season Everton finished near relegation zone. His highest finish with Everton is 4th which he achieved in 2004-05 season.

But since 2008 Moyes' Everton started producing consistent performances and made Goodison a fort and finished in top half of the table until 2013 in this process.

Moyes won the "Manager Of The Year" award Twice(2003 & 2005) along with that registered 150 wins in premiership becoming only the fourth manager to achieve such feat behind Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp. He left Everton in the summer of 2013 for Man Utd. His win percentage at Everton is 43%.

STYLE OF MANGEMENT:

Moyes demands discipline from his players which shows in his time at everton as everton finished 1st as the most disciplined side for 4 seasons. Along with that moyes demands attractive football with loads of passing contrary to general beleive that he uses long balls. Moyes' work ethic is another thing which makes him a top manager as he concentrates of even the minor of the things too.

Moyes discipline example can be taken from recent Ashly Young Diving incident

"I’ve always said I don’t like diving. He deserved to get booked. I don’t want any of my players diving, I don’t want anybody doing it.If you look at [the penalty], the boy definitely throws his leg out, and Ashley’s leg goes into it. I think Ashley has put his leg into it. But I will definitely say to Ashley that it is not what I want"

TRANSFER POLICY:

David Moyes has never been blessed with a club which has loads of money as under his decade long reign Everton's net spending was only 16m but his transfers show he can cope with less funds. Moyes over the years have bought in brilliant players for mere peanuts notably

Moyes Top10 Signings At Everton:

10:Coleman (£60,000)
9: Phil Neville (£3.5m)
8: Tim Howard (£3m)
7: Steven Pienaar (£2m)
6: Phil Jagielka (£4m)
5: Nigel Martyn (Free)
4: Leighton Baines (£6m)
3: Joleon Lescott (£5m)
2: Mikel Arteta (£2m)
1: Tim Cahill (£1.5m)

YOUTH POLICY:

Another of Moyes' strength is handling youth. He does it better than most of the managers out there his most notable youth player would be Wayne Rooney but along with that he has bought in James Vaughn and Jose Baxter (both destroyed by injuries) Jack Rodwell and most recently Ross barkley. At Man Utd he is also giving chances to 18 year old Adnan Januzaj which indicates he is a believer of youth and can handle them , nourish them and bring the best out of them.

So the big question can Moyes get success at united??

He very well can and has all the tools in him to be a success at man utd and yes dont be deceived by the recent results as Moyes is just getting to know his players once he does that he will get the best out of them. Many might say he should have done it in pre-season but how could he have done that when half if his main squad was either on vacation or injured?? Players including Wayne Rooney,Nemanja Vidic,Jonny Evans,Antonio Valencia,Shinji Kagawa,Chicharito and Nani were all absent from the tour. Man utd fans just need to have patience as Moyes will surely turn things around. An example of Moyes knowing a player and getting the best out of him is Wayne Rooney. Rooney has been named Man Of the Match in 4 matches so far this season clearly indicates when Moyes knows his other players he would get the best out of them too.
And he is learning quickly too he is putting those players out on bench who ill performed in starting fixtures most notably Ashley Young.

So all Man Utd Fans have to do is be patient and Support Moyes he will come Good.
